This week leading up to the Full Moon tomorrow felt like an intensely creative week for me.
I did 2 paintings and am almost done with a third painting, all part of the new rose collection I have started as part of my feminine essence series. I also received my first art coaching client, before I was ready to publish a new page on my website. It actually feels like intuitive art coaching actually but I will share more another time. I am also working on a wonderful project right now that will help you very much creatively too.
Today I will share one of the paintings I did this week.
Lilac and lemon were the colours that wanted to be expressed. They are not the usual combination of colours I use but I decided to see which aspects of these colours would have the strongest voice in this new rose painting. So delicious don’t you think?
The beginning stages….I love the spontaneous loose softness that happened here. For some reason, it felt like I needed to only use my fingers which felt truly good…
At some point the lilac part of the colour purple started happening….
Here I am painting the edges. I really feel that these roses were painted in a very intuitive and impressionistic manner. It felt truly liberating. My movements were fast and very emotive here.
I decided to call this painting “Blooming freely”. It is also inspired by one of my favourite quotes:
“And the day came when the risk to remain right in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anais Nin
I completed this on International Women’s Day and it felt like a wonderful reminder for each woman.
Here are some close ups that I put together into a collage and shared on FB and Instagram.
This painting is part of a painting project I am busy with, called 100 expressions of love. A personal desire to live with a different energy in my life was the inspiration behind this project. You can follow updates daily on Instagram.
This painting is an original oil painting and is ready to be hung. It does not need framing. The size is 300 x 300 mm or 10 x 10 inches.
It is available from my Etsy shop. You may also request a blank journal to be created for you with this painting as the back and front cover.
You can go here to receive this for yourself:
May your feminine spirit awaken to more of its beauty.
